Course objective:
On completion of this course participants will have a clear understanding of a good command structure and understand:
· the importance of a safe approach and deployment to incidents
· the need for efficient communications at incidents
· the need for efficient and effective liaison with outside agencies
· the need for pre incident planning
· the need for clear report writing after incidents
Who should attend:
Emergency response team leaders, deputy team leaders and managers who have responsibility for responding to and dealing with emergency incidents on site.
Course content:
· Approach and deployment to emergency incidents
· Fire service incident command system
· Liaison with outside agencies: Gardai, Ambulance, Fire Service, EPA, HSA
· Understand the operation of command and control at incidents
· Dynamic risk assessment of incidents
